About the Journal

Jurnal Kimia Unand (J. Kim. Unand) has been registered with an online ISSN of 3026-2933. Jurnal Kimia Unand is a peer-reviewed journal in chemistry and applied chemistry, published by the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Andalas, Sumatera Barat, Indonesia. The Publishing frequency is two issues per year, in May and November. Since 7th April 2026, JKU has been categorized at the 4th level (SINTA 4) in the National Accreditation by the Indonesian Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) in Decree No. 156/C/C3/KPT/2026, valid until April 2030.

The criteria of the submitted article cover the following types of articles as follows:

1. Communication presents a brief but complete description of an investigation.

2. Research article presents research results on a specific topic in Chemistry and Applied Chemistry.

3. Review article (Based on the Editor's Invitation).

The scope of this journal includes:
